Hello! I’m Tami, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Rise Gatherings, retreat experiences for women. My path to this moment started in my childhood in Madison Wisconsin. I grew up as the oldest of 4 children with two busy working parents. This birth order was formative, as I became someone who is calm amongst chaos, enjoys managing many projects, tries to find meaning in the busy moments of our lives, and loves to lead people on their path.

My first professional roles were as a school counselor and a yoga & fitness instructor. These two experiences shaped everything that came next for me. As a school counselor, I witnessed and engaged with the self-esteem and mental health issues that young girls face, and I became skilled at guiding and mentoring them. As a yoga and fitness instructor, I realized how much I enjoyed meeting women of all ages and backgrounds, and I developed an ability to be both a listener and a motivator. So, it made sense that I was given opportunities to develop national programs for nonprofit organizations including Moving Traditions and 18 doors. At Moving Traditions I trained over 1,000 teen mentors in facilitation skills, marketing strategies and supporting mental health. My experiences as a non-profit consultant, national speaker, and non-profit board member for organizations were deeply fulfilling but they left me dreaming about creating spaces and curriculum for women. 

My life’s work thus far has led me to a core belief that every person who identifies as a female needs and deserves joyful inspiration and support at each phase of their lives - especially as we assume more roles to more people (partner, employee, parent, friend, etc.). I have worn many hats and experienced life’s joys and challenges, and I aim for Rise Gatherings to be a source for experiences, getaways, and intelligent and emotional teachings that I crave for myself and want to share!
